PDF is great for sharing, but Word is better for editing. Converting PDF to DOCX is the fastest way to make bigger text changes without rebuilding the whole document.

What to expect from conversion

  • Digital PDFs (exported from Word or Google Docs) usually convert well.
  • Scanned PDFs are often just page images. The DOCX may contain images of pages instead of editable text.

Convert PDF to DOCX (step by step)

  1. Open PDF to DOCX.
  2. Upload your PDF.
  3. Convert and download the Word file.
  4. Open it in Word or Google Docs and fix spacing and line breaks.

Quick cleanup tips

  • Reapply headings (Heading 1, Heading 2) for clean structure.
  • Check tables and bullet lists. Those are the most common conversion issues.
  • Replace any weird characters caused by fonts.
