OCR works best when the text is sharp and the page is flat. If your result looks messy, it is usually the image, not the tool.

OCR step by step

  1. Open Image to Text.
  2. Upload a clear photo or scan.
  3. Run OCR and copy the output.
  4. Fix obvious errors (0 vs O, 1 vs I, and broken lines).

Improve accuracy fast

  • Fill the frame with the page. Do not shoot from far away.
  • Keep the phone steady and focus on the text.
  • Avoid glare. Move the light or tilt slightly.
  • If the page is angled, retake it straight.

After OCR, clean it up

  • Remove extra line breaks if you need paragraphs.
  • If you are pasting into a form, paste into a plain text editor first.
