Resizing is the easiest way to make an image upload faster and fit where you need it.

Resize an image (step by step)

  1. Open Image Resizer.
  2. Upload your image.
  3. Choose one method:
    • pixels (exact size)
    • percent (scale up or down)
    • max edge (keep aspect ratio)
  4. Download the resized image.

Common sizes (quick reference)

  • Website content images: 1200 to 2000 px wide
  • Profile pictures: 400 to 800 px square (varies by site)
  • Email attachments: keep the long edge under 2000 px if possible

Tips

  • Do not stretch. Keep aspect ratio on.
  • If you need a smaller file too, compress after resizing.
