How we convert
- Length & area: Metric SI units, with US and UK imperial derived from standard definitions (e.g. inch = 25.4 mm, mile = 1609.344 m).
- Mass: Kilograms, with pounds and ounces from the international avoirdupois pound.
- Volume: Liters and cubic measure, including separate US customary and UK imperial gallons where labeled.
- Temperature: °C, °F, K, and °R through standard formulas. Use calibrated instruments when precision matters.
- Speed: Built from length units such as knots (nautical miles per hour).
- Rounding: Results are rounded for display. The last digit may differ slightly from a spreadsheet, so round the way your work requires.
1 (Meter (m)) = 3.28084 (Foot (ft))
